How it works

A result in four steps, without coming to Turkey

  1. Free initial consultation

By phone, WhatsApp or video call, we listen to your situation and clearly explain which procedure is required, the estimated timeline and the cost items. The consultation is non-binding.

  2. Drawing up the power of attorney

We send you the wording of a power of attorney prepared specifically for your type of matter. You simply have it executed at the Turkish consulate in Germany or before a German notary (with an apostille) — we guide you step by step on the appointment and the content.

  3. Carrying out the procedures

We make all applications to the courts, the land registry, the tax office, banks and insurers on your behalf. At every stage you receive written updates in Turkish or German.

  4. Result and delivery

A Turkish certificate of inheritance (veraset ilamı), a title deed, a court decision or the compensation collected: we deliver the result together with its documents and, where necessary, provide a roadmap for the next steps.

Mini glossary · Kleines Glossar

German document, Turkish equivalent

The concepts most often confused between the two systems. Knowing which document is valid where is half the battle.

  • ErbscheinCertificate of inheritance (veraset ilamı) A German Erbschein is not directly valid in Turkey; a separate Turkish certificate of inheritance (veraset ilamı) must be obtained from a Turkish court.
  • VollmachtPower of attorney Issued at a consulate or before a German notary (with an apostille); it must contain powers specific to the type of matter.
  • ApostilleApostille certification The international certification required for German official documents to be usable in Turkey.
  • RechtskraftvermerkCertificate of finality For a divorce decree to be recognised, a note showing that the decision has become final is mandatory.
  • TeilungsversteigerungDissolution of co-ownership Bringing a co-ownership to an end through sale by public auction or through partition.

Frequently asked questions

What clients most want to know before starting

Can I complete my matters without ever coming to Turkey?

Yes. With a specially authorised power of attorney obtained from a Turkish consulate or a German notary, the entire process — including the certificate of inheritance, title deed transfer, filing and following up litigation, and tax and banking matters — is carried out by us. You do not need to attend the hearings either.

Where and how do I obtain the power of attorney?

There are two routes: from the Turkish consulates in Germany (by appointment) or from a German notary. A power of attorney drawn up before a German notary is supplemented with an apostille and a certified Turkish translation. We prepare the wording of the power of attorney specific to your matter and send it to you.

Can I speak German with you?

Yes. Meetings, written updates and documents are handled in Turkish or German according to your preference. Our second- and third-generation clients born and raised in Germany can follow the entire process in German.

How does the fee arrangement work?

The first initial consultation is free. You then receive a written quote setting out, item by item, the official costs such as court fees, expert witnesses and translation, together with the legal fee for your matter. If you have a Rechtsschutzversicherung policy, we check the Turkey coverage together.

I am a German national, not a Turkish citizen. Do you serve me as well?

Yes. We provide the same range of services to German nationals who have property, an inheritance or a case in Turkey. We also provide specific guidance on the special rules concerning the acquisition of property and inheritance rights by foreigners.
